Call for Volunteers 2019

for the 7th IDOCDE Symposium

“Tracing Forwards ––––––––

intersecting (somatic) legacies and future (art) practices”

26th, 27th & 28th July 2019

The IDOCDE team is looking for volunteers who would like to benefit from free participation at the symposium as well as 50% discount on max. two ImPulsTanz workshops in exchange* for working in and around IDOCDE and the Symposium!

The IDOCDE symposium and residency series is dedicated to the artistic and pedagogic practices of contemporary dance. Past editions have focused on artistic documentation, collaborative processes, and their political and educational implications.

This year we aim to create a space for becoming – a portal for somatic artmaking. The purpose of the gathering is to feed-forward the rethinking of the value and usage of somatic work in an artistic, pedagogic, and socio-political context. Integrative, intergenerational, recontextualizing.

*Date: Friday, 26 July – Sunday, 28 July - Please note that all volunteers need to be able to attend the coordination meeting on Tuesday 23th July 2018 at 18:00 (location tba) AND be present over the whole symposium.

*Possible volunteer duties include:

Facilitation: Assisting lecturers during the Symposium Sessions

help/assistance with class facilitation and time keeping
on-call option to assist the Residency’s participants in 1st district of Vienna 22rd-26th July 2019

Assistance Office & Documentation activities:

assisting with documentation
assisting with office tasks such as producing and printing info material etc.

Coordination Social Events:

set up and preparation for one or more of the symposium's anchor events
(campfire; snacks, lunch, dinner, breakfast; opening or closing event)

Technical Assistance:

any technical help or assistance for the team, videographers or participants
