ARCHitecture: Exploring spinal movement

Extention of the spine and shoulders is one of the most important exercises we should engage as a counter to a day-to-day sitting routine. However, this needs to be done gradually .Theme of the workshop is: the elements of a bridge position, which we will engage through different variations with and without a partner; without over stressing the spine.

Benefits:
- Strenghtening the muscles of the back, spine, torso and limps
- Opening up the shoulder girdle, chest and hip joints

Workshop segments:
- Theoretical introduction: understanding of body structures (bones, joints and muscles), which provides proper positioning
- Warming up, joint / muscle activation
- Bridge with assistance
- Diferent ways of entering / exiting
- Dynamic bridge movements with/without the support
